Romania federation gears up for further two years of Autoklass sponsorship

April 24 – The Romanian Football Federation (FRF) and Autoklass, Mercedes-Benz’s Romania dealership partner, have extend their sponsorship partnership for another two years. Autoklass began its sponsorship in 2019.

No value for the deal was given.

“This solid collaboration is a manifestation of the continuous commitment of both parties towards supporting and promoting Romanian football at the highest level. Based on a solid and reliable relationship, FRF and Autoklass decided to continue their partnership, strengthening their connection in support of the Romanian National Football Team, said an FRF statement.

“Autoklass, the leader in automotive services in Romania, shares FRF’s core values, which include integrity, innovation, verticality and investment in performance. Through this collaboration, the two entities demonstrate their commitment to the development and promotion of sport, succeeding in creating a solid bridge between the world of football and business.

The Romanian FA emphasised the importance of having the country’s biggest brands supporting the national teams.

“It is not just a commercial partnership, but a solid foundation for strengthening performance premises. In addition, on the occasion of this new contract, products with the National Team insignia will be available in Autoklass branches, bringing supporters even closer to the tricolors. This represents an extension of our accessibility and presence in the community, strengthening the ties between the supporters and the national team,” said FRF president Răzvan Burleanu.

“We have as a common goal performance, a performance that must be supported and sustainable, and alongside this goal we also have the duty to invest in supporting young people, children in particular, children on whom the future of the country will surely depend,” added Daniel Grecu, general manager of Autoklass.

He pointed to success in Romania’s U19 and U21 age groups as proof that the federation and the sponsorship is looking to the future.
